Intimacy, Sex, and The Messy Middle with Rhonda Farr

There’s no two ways about it! It takes real effort to grow and develop as a couple. Sometimes you’re going to feel stuck in the messy middle for a very long time. I was privileged to be a guest on Rhonda Farr’s podcast, The Intimacy Podcast. Rhonda is a highly intelligent certified life coach, specializing in helping men become more intimately connected with their wives.

We discussed several specific and practical tips for husbands to become more emotionally connected to their wives. We also discussed the link between emotional connection and sexual connection; how sex is another form of communication; and how to keep the sexual and emotional relationship vital and strong over the long haul.

We also discuss a misstep I took in my marriage when good intentions turned into communicating anxiety around sex, and the steps we took to work through it. If any of you are in the messy middle (aren’t we all?), you’d appreciate the candor and lessons learned in this episode.
