Christmas Bedroom Games: 12 Sexy Games for Married Couples

December is the busiest month of the year for most couples, and somehow the one with the least time for each other. Parties, programs, shopping, relatives, late nights wrapping presents. By the time the house is quiet, there’s often nothing left and you’re touched out.

So here’s an idea that asks very little of you: twelve short Christmas bedroom games, one for each night from December 13 through Christmas Eve. Think of it as an advent countdown for the two of you. Each game takes about twenty minutes, most of them use things you already have in the house, and they build from cozy and flirty to genuinely hot as Christmas gets closer.

Looking for a sexy Christmas game to play tonight? Start with Kissmas Roulette, which needs only a deck of cards, or Silent Night, which needs nothing at all. If you want the whole season, play the twelve games below in order as a countdown to Christmas Eve. They start cozy, warm up in the middle, and save the hottest for last.

How the countdown works

  • Start on December 13 and play one game a night, finishing on Christmas Eve. Or skip the countdown and just pick whichever game fits the night you’re having.
  • Gather the supplies once. A deck of cards, a blindfold, a stocking, a few small ornaments, some candy canes, and massage oil cover almost everything. Put them in a box on December 12 and you’re set.
  • No make-up homework. Miss a night? Skip it or double up. This is supposed to be fun, not another item on the December to-do list.
  • One rule for every game: either of you can pause, skip, or swap a game without having to explain.

Cozy nights: games 1 to 4

The first four games are flirty, mostly clothed, and easy to say yes to. They’re about getting back into a playful frame of mind with each other.

Night 1: Kissmas Roulette

What you need: a deck of playing cards.

Assign a kiss to each suit, then take turns drawing a card. The number tells you how many seconds the kiss lasts.

  • Hearts: a kiss on the lips.
  • Diamonds: a kiss somewhere other than the lips.
  • Clubs: a French kiss.
  • Spades: a butterfly kiss.

Face cards mean you get to invent your own kiss. An ace lets you choose your spouse’s next card. A ten-second kiss on the lips is longer than most married couples kiss all week, which is exactly the point.

Night 2: Gingerbread Taste Test

What you need: a blindfold and four or five holiday flavors, such as peppermint, a gingerbread cookie, eggnog, hot cocoa, or a cranberry.

One of you wears the blindfold. The other takes a small taste of one of the treats and then kisses their spouse, who has to guess the flavor from the kiss alone. Every correct guess earns a point, and three points earns a reward of the winner’s choosing. Then switch. Exploring a little to figure out the answer is not just allowed, it’s encouraged.

Night 3: Unwrap Me

What you need: a few layers (a robe, a scarf, a stick-on bow) and three or four questions about you.

Show up wrapped like a present. Your spouse gets to unwrap one layer for every question they answer correctly about you. Keep the questions on the holiday theme: What was my favorite Christmas present as a kid? What Christmas song do I secretly love? What would I want to find in my stocking? A wrong answer means they owe you a kiss before they can try again. You’ll learn something, and the unwrapping takes care of itself.

Night 4: Sugarplum Whispers

What you need: a fire, candlelight, or twinkle lights. Nothing else.

While visions of sugarplums dance in your heads, take turns whispering a fantasy to each other in as much detail as you’re comfortable with. Nothing has to happen tonight. The listener simply answers with one of two words: “tonight” or “later.” A “later” is not a no, it’s an idea saved for another night. Many couples find it easier to share a desire when the only thing being asked is to listen.

Warm nights: games 5 to 8

By the middle of the countdown you’ve built a little momentum. These four games add more touch, more anticipation, and fewer clothes.

Night 5: Naughty & Nice Stocking

What you need: a stocking, scraps of paper, and a pen.

Each spouse writes three nice ideas and three naughty ideas on separate slips of paper. A nice idea might be a foot rub or a slow dance in the kitchen. A naughty one is up to you. Mix them all together in a stocking, then take turns drawing one and completing the challenge. You never know which you’ll get, and that’s half the fun.

Night 6: Yule Log Slow Burn

What you need: a real fire or a fireplace video, and a timer.

Turn on the fireplace and set a timer for twenty minutes. Until it goes off, clothes stay on and hands stay above the waist. Kiss, cuddle, touch, whisper, but nothing more. When the timer ends, the rules are off. Most couples rush straight past the build-up. This game makes the build-up the whole point, and by the time the timer goes off you’ll both be glad you waited.

Night 7: Ornament Hunt

What you need: a blindfold and five or six small, soft or shatterproof ornaments or gift bows.

One of you hides the ornaments on your body: tucked into a waistband, under a strap, behind a knee. Your spouse puts on the blindfold and has to find every one using only their hands. Every ornament found earns a kiss wherever the finder chooses. Once they’ve found them all, switch places.

Night 8: Fire and Ice

What you need: a candy cane and warm massage oil (or a warm mug of tea).

Suck on a candy cane for a minute and your mouth turns cool and tingly. Use it to kiss your way along your spouse’s neck, shoulders, and back. Then switch to warmth: warm breath, warm oil, or warm hands straight off the mug. Going back and forth between cool and warm wakes up the skin in a way ordinary touch doesn’t. One caution: peppermint can sting sensitive skin, so keep the candy cane kisses away from the genitals and save the warm side for there.

Hot nights: games 9 to 12

The last four nights are the spiciest. By now you’ve spent more than a week flirting, so these should feel like a natural next step rather than a leap.

Night 9: Elves After Hours

What you need: nothing, though an elf hat doesn’t hurt.

Santa’s workshop has closed for the night. Everyone else has gone home, but two elves have stayed late, and they’ve been watching each other across the workbench all season. Set the scene earlier in the day with a text and let the story unfold from there. Role play doesn’t need to be elaborate to work. A simple setup gives you permission to be a little bolder than usual. Night 10: North Pole Position Draw

What you need: a bowl or stocking and a few slips of paper.

Write a Christmas-named position on each slip, drop them in the stocking, and draw two or three for the night. A few to get you started:

  • The North Pole: oral sex for him.
  • The South Pole: oral sex for her.
  • Santa’s Lap: she sits on his lap facing him, lap-dance style.
  • The Sleigh Ride: she’s on top, facing him or facing away.

I first shared these on the podcast in 12 Ideas to Make Christmastime Extra Sexy. Feel free to add your own and give them names of your own.

Night 11: Holiday Edging

What you need: a Christmas playlist of eight to ten songs.

Edging means bringing your spouse close to orgasm, then easing off and letting the intensity settle before building it again. Here the playlist keeps time. Every time the song changes, so does the touch: who’s giving, where, how fast. The one rule is that nobody finishes before the last song. By the final chorus, it will be the most anticipated release of the season. For more on how edging works, see Prioritizing Pleasure: Slow Down, Explore, and Try Edging.

Night 12: Silent Night (Christmas Eve)

What you need: nothing at all.

On Christmas Eve the house is often full: kids too excited to sleep, relatives in the guest room, stockings waiting by the fire. So make the quiet part of the game. All is calm, and all must stay that way. No talking, no sound. The first one to make a noise loses a layer, or has to follow one whispered instruction from the winner. It’s harder than it sounds, it’s surprisingly sexy, and it’s the perfect way to end the countdown.
